Hi everybody!
It's been forever since I visited here, let alone logged onto tribe. I started a new job back in Sept. that was supposed to be a 3 day work week kinda gig. I ended up being there 7 days a week / 15 hours a day, gave up my social life and much of my photography. Then at the end of March I was hit by a prostate gone wild, and I've been out of commission since. I'm going through more tests today, and still hoping for the best. I think they're close to pinpointing the condition, then the rest is down hill from there baby! So, I'm at home a lot these days. I was cooped up in my apartment for weeks. I heard about the How Weird Street Faire literally about an hour before it started. I hadn't heard of it before, and since I had been cooped up for weeks here I said F@#K it, I'm getting out for a little while. I grabbed my camera and even though I had to take it pretty slow, I still managed to get some really great shots. It felt SO good to be outside amongst people - especially my favorite kind: freaky people - AND to be behind my camera. It feels like it's been forever since I did any kind of real shooting. But hey, now that I'm home a lot again, and able to actually sit upright, maybe I'll log on a lot more this time around. If you get a chance, go check out the pictures of the faire.

I love receiving comments on my pictures, so if you see something you like, please leave me a comment. It brightens my day, lifts my spirits and I love to hear what people think of the stuff I share with them.
With any luck, I'll be behind my camera a lot again soon, and back to the (bump and) grind; hopefully never returning to that dungeon they call my office. Unfortunately, I can't get out very much to take pictures, and even though I was in some serious pain after shooting at the fair, I can't say I'll ever regret it! It was worth its weight in gold and really did make me feel better at least on a mental / spiritual level. So, the physical is small beans compared to what I got out of it.
Anyway, I hope you're all well, and I will try to stay in touch more.
Best,
Chris Ford (AKA MOJO)
