First of all, let me say that YES, I actually know and have met and hung out with AND worked with Dixie, and she is a one-of-a-kind GEM! She was kind enough to act in a project that I produced and shot (but did not direct or write) about shopping compulsion called "Shop till you drop". She was fantastic and has one of the best moments in the film, (and if you KNOW her, you will REALLY get a charge out of the touch). Well, we have moved along and made a program worthy of airtime AND satellite distribution.
I ask most respectfully now for the final and most important component, an audience from the Queen of the Underworld and her court and subjects. US, and YOU!
A 30 minute educational/documentary about my project 30 films in 30 days will be on Channel 27 on Wednesday 8/23 at 1pm, and Thursday 8/24 at 10pm. This airing is sadly only available inside San Francisco on Cable (EATV), but it has already aired 4 times on the 127 outlets in the state of California that are supplied by the CCCSAT satellite (we got picked up in April, aired in April and May).
I would be most grateful for viewers, and following that, any feedback that might make future projects quality.
This is a very exciting thing for all of us here, and hopefully is one of the many fractured introductions that Whaddya Gonna Do About It? Productions have been leaking out for the last few years.
Our first feature, which predates 30.30 by one year, will be releasing soon, so there is a huge amount of product in the pipeline coming out soon for those who like our styles.
This was a history making endeavor that has been universally reacted to with shock and awe. No one in history had ever attempted to make 30 films in 30 days, but we attempted and succeeded.
Please support this and forward to as many people as you can. A single shot is all most of us will ever get... I have been very fortunate, blessed really, to be able to achieve some of my dreams, but they need to be shared with an audience, and there is no better audience than that of my peers and fellow artists.
Thank you very very sincerely.

Thu, August 17, 2006 - 12:23 AMOh HELLS YEAH....I will watch it for sure, John! (only saw it once, when it previewed at ATA)
John and Jody are two of the most creative and ambitious people I know...and that's saying a lot.
They had us doing weird ass role play all the way through rehearsal dinners (I was the rift-mending baby girl in a dysfunctional family for one meal, as I recall) which added greatly to the shoot. But the editing was the piece de resistance. Talented editors can save my unqualified ass any day, thankyouverymuch!
Jody wrote the script, John was the do-everything man....and the rest of us were just shopaholics with bigger and better plans for our futures.
Oh, and my name is Dixie in the film. Jody wrote the part FOR ME (so flattering!)
Y'all, watch it if you have cable.... and tell me/us what you think...... -

Thu, August 17, 2006 - 11:35 AMOh dear heavens,
I have caused a commotion and a confusion.
SO first I will explain the confusion and THEN I will act on all this commotion!
The Confusion:
THe program that is going to be on the air on 8/23 and 8/24 is not the program that Dixie is actually IN, that project is called "Shop Till you Drop", written and directed by Jody Yvette, produced and shot by John.
The program that is going to be on air is the educational/documentary about 1 day of production on the project known as "30.30". The show is titled "1 down, 29 to go: A day in the life of the production of 30.30"
PLEASE PLEASE STILL WATCH IT!!!
OK
Since there has been such an amazing response to the opportunity to see Dixie's debut (which is, I assure you, fantastic!) How about we set up a special screening of "Shop Till You Drop" for all the loyal and devoted fans (and worshippers) of Dixie? YES! We can have a "special" party or something! I would be very proud to be able to do this!
Dixie, you're one of a kind. And there WILL be more projects for you in the future, as we LOVE working with you.
Deep apologies for any misunderstanding my babbling ass has caused, but it is still a kickass show that everyone should watch. -
