What better way to start off Folsom St Fair weekend than to pay homage to those pervy groundbreakers of the 70’s and 80’s…the frequenters of the Baths.
Man, there were some stories created there!
On Sept. 28th, we’re renting out Frogs, the fabulous coed nude spa and hot tub place in Fairfax, and have a late night start time for our next Bawdy Storytelling. So go out on Friday night, enjoy your evening and then come climb into a tub with us and share a wet n wild adventure from your past.
Frogs is my favorite Hot Tub place. Yes, I like Elisa’s. And when I want to slum it, the Hot Tubs on Van Ness fits the bill. But everyone I’ve ever taken to Frogs has loved it as much as I did that first time. Why? Well, they have this ‘off the grid’ feel to the place, despite being located in a shopping mall. They have no web site of their own, there’s this homemade feel to their interior, and last but not least- it’s like the only coed and nude spa out there. Throw in a cold plunge, 2 Saunas and a huge deck that overlooks the hot tub, and you have a great storytelling venue. Plenty of room for private and public stories.

I’ve heard a lot of ‘hells yeah!” in response to this Bawdy. But as many of us live an urban car-free life, the commute may seem daunting.

Another thing to note: Let’s make this an ‘open theme’ Bawdy. I know you’re tired of waiting to get to tell that story about you, the antelope and that broken Reality condom in your ex-boyfriend’s Isuzu Trooper. Don’t wait for ‘I plowed an antelope’ night. We wanna hear all about it.
Whatever twisted, tawdry tale you feel like spouting, I’m all in.

We’ll start just before midnight, and go till they throw us out (4 AM at the latest).

What is Bawdy Storytelling?
I’m an avid fan of Porchlight Storytelling and Memoir Spool, but couldn’t help but notice that there wasn’t a venue for people like us to relate our adventures. Bawdy Storytelling is the no holds barred, no editing necessary storytelling event.
So, I’m hoping you’ll join us and if you’re so inclined, please regale us with a story. There’s no pressure to get up and tell one, but I know my friends have some bawdy tales in their arsenal and I’m hoping you’ll share.
